All classes are open to children age 8-18 except as noted above. Students must be age 8 by 12/31/2025. Lessons are structured such that skiers are paired with others based on age and ability. Advanced skiers may take one or both sessions.

We start beginner and intermediate students with classic technique as it builds balance and timing skills, but all skiers will have the opportunity to experience both classic and skate technique during the winter’s classes.

There is no private instruction. If needed, Ogden Nordic Ski School lessons provide more individual instruction.

Parental help is required for the success of our program. Please consider helping, especially if you have a child involved with this program.

EQUIPMENT

• Students must provide their own ski gear. Equipment (skis, boots and poles) rentals are available from Ogden Nordic to students for $60 for the 6-week session and $40 for the 4-week session. 

• Junior Program equipment rental pickup dates and times will be:

  • Friday, December 19, 3pm - 5pm​

  • Saturday, December 20, 9am - 12pm

  • One hour prior to the first class

• Rentals may be kept from the time of pickup for the duration of the program until the end of day on Race Day, Saturday, February 14, 2026.

REGISTRATION AND FEES

• Registration will stay open until all classes are filled or until the Monday before class starts. Classes are subject to change based upon availability of instructors and interest by students (minimum 3 per class).

• Junior program 6-week session costs $100. Rentals, if needed, are $60 for a total of $160 *

• Junior program 4-week session costs $70. Rentals, if needed, are $40, for a total of $110.

• These prices include access to Ogden Nordic trails, valid from the first class through the Fun Race. Students are encouraged to ski often during this period.

• Junior program registrants will receive two free day passes to share with family or friends.

• Participating in either session allows the student free registration to Ogden Nordic's Fun Race scheduled for Saturday, February 14.

SCHOLARSHIPS:

• Scholarships are available for the Junior lessons (not the rental program). Please contact deb@ogdennordic.com for more information.

CANCELLATION POLICY

• Participants injured prior to the first class that will prevent them from participating will receive a 100% refund. Cancellation for other reasons prior to the start of class may receive a 50% refund.

• Fees are nonrefundable once class has started.

* Wednesday Advanced class skiers who commit to stay and assist with the beginner and intermediate classes as junior instructors may get their session fee waived. This requires prior approval. Contact deb@ogdennordic.com if interested.
