A NOTE ABOUT GROOMING
-
Ski Trails: We groom every night, except Tuesday. If there is a storm coming in we generally skip that night to save resources since it will all be covered up.
-
Bike/Snowshoe: All the new snow has made compaction a problem. Generally, it takes days for the trails to compact after a 6" snowfall well enough for fat biking. Snowshoeing is always good and appreciated to help compact the trails. The crew has spent most of the day and into the night working and "hopefully" the trails will be ridable on Friday, but definitely will be squishy and slow.
Thur. Dec. 15
TRAIL COUNTERS: We have implemented a program to track use on our trails using TRAFX Infrared Trail Counters This will help us manage the trails, plan for new trail construction and guide our winter trail grooming. More information on the trail counters here
