Welcome to Ogden Nordic PDF Print E-mail

Ogden Nordic is a non-profit organization dedicated to the sport of Nordic Skiing in the greater Ogden Area.  Originally founded as a junior racing club in 1997, our mission expanded in 2002 when we started our grooming efforts in Weber County's North-fork Park.  At the same time, we became a formal chapter of The Utah Nordic Alliance (TUNA), and the "Official" grooming team for the Utah Special Olympics.

Since we recognize the mutual benefit that trails and pathways offer the community over all 4 seasons, we actively work to support Ogden Valley Pathways and Weber Pathways.  The development, preservation, and maintenance of Non-Motorized trails for multiple user groups such as skiers, hikers, bikers, and horsemen benefit our members all year long and enable pleasant winter gliding in our scenic mountains.  Please remember to share the trail with these other groups.

Please take time to express your written support of Ogden Nordic to the Weber County Commission and the Director of Parks and Recreation.  Our efforts to facilitate and enhance the Nordic Venue at North-fork Park requires their direct support and involvement.  Since it is typical for them to hear only from the minority of people who have concerns, rather than the multitude of users who are pleased, it is easy to ratchet down the venue.  With your continuous feedback, the commission can learn about your more positive approach and appreciations.

The Mission of O. Nordic is to promote the sport of Nordic Skiing through information, facilitation, coaching, events, and social gatherings!

Ogden Nordic Junior Coaches and Assistants

Since helping to found the club in 1997, Paul Stromberg has lent his support, expertise, and personal time toward the development of the O. Nordic Club, the junior team, and to many individual skiers.  Today, there are many of us who owe some thanks and appreciation to Paul for the club, the skiing, and our skills.

Paul continues to be the mainstay of the junior program as it's Director.  This year we are happy to add the help of several coaches and skiers to assist in the development of our juniors.
